Understanding Photo Privacy in a Browser Photobooth
What camera permission, local processing, storage, and sharing mean for guests and event organizers.

Camera permission stays under user control
A browser asks for permission before a site can use the camera. You can revoke that permission in site or browser settings. Close the tab when you finish on a shared device.
Local processing and sharing are different
Capturing and composing a frame can happen on the device. A photo only leaves the device when the user chooses a sharing method that requires a network, so read the status shown before sharing.
- ✓Use a trusted device and network.
- ✓Do not leave results open and unattended.
- ✓Clear old booth sessions regularly.
Good practice for organizers
Provide a clear notice explaining who operates the booth, how long photos are kept, and who guests can contact for deletion. Do not reuse guest photos for another purpose without clear consent.
